| Did You Know? |
Pharmacology is the study of the drug's effect on the body. By knowing how groups or classes of medications exert their effect, you should be able to predict how a member of the group will react in the body. Generic names often give clues as to the pharmacological class the drug belongs to, so you can predict things such as the drug's desired effects, side effects, dangers, toxicities, and major uses. A good pharmacology text will contain all of this information.
